The Pacesetter Awards celebrate outstanding individuals and companies within the BOMA Raleigh-Durham community who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the commercial real estate industry. This annual event recognizes those making a significant impact, from property managers to young professionals, highlighting their contributions and inspiring excellence in the field. All Pacesetter Nominations will be evaluated by the Pacesetter Task Force, a diverse group of BOMA Members. This team includes a mix of industry professionals to ensure an unbiased and impartial assessment.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award recognizes emerging talent within the BOMA Raleigh-Durham community. It is presented to a member who has been active in BOMA for three years or less and has demonstrated excellence early in their career.
Nominees should:
• Exhibit commitment to professional growth by actively pursuing educational opportunities.
• Shine within their company and industry through exceptional performance and engagement.
• Represent the next generation of BOMA leadership and the future of the commercial real estate community.
This award is designed to encourage and spotlight professionals who are already making an impact early in their BOMA journey.
Building Engineer of the Year
This award recognizes an outstanding building engineer in the Raleigh-Durham market across office, retail, industrial, flex, life science, or medical facilities.
Nominees should:
• Demonstrate exceptional professionalism when interacting with tenants, employees, and vendors.
• Lead by example and collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
• Maintain properties to the highest standards of performance, safety, and industry compliance.
• Actively participate in BOMA through continuing education and partnerships with Allied members.
This award honors the "best of the best" an engineer whose expertise, reliability, and leadership elevate the performance of their property and the value of BOMA.
Allied Company of the Year
This award honors an Allied company that stands out as a leader in quality, service, and support within the Raleigh-Durham market.
Nominees should:
• Demonstrate excellence and integrity across their industry.
• Promote and support BOMA through active participation, sponsorship, or event involvement.
• Maintain professionalism in all relationships with clients and the BOMA community.
• Provide consistent, exceptional service while addressing the needs of the market.
• Rise above challenges and distinguish themselves through their performance over the past year.
This award celebrates a company that goes above and beyond, setting the benchmark for service, professionalism, and BOMA support.
Allied Member of the Year
This award celebrates an Allied member who exemplifies integrity, professionalism, and support of BOMA Raleigh-Durham.
Nominees should:
• Deliver the highest quality of service and uphold strong ethical standards in their industry.
• Actively support BOMA by attending or sponsoring events and functions.
• Foster professionalism and collaboration in interactions with clients, fellow members, and the broader commercial real estate community.
This award recognizes an individual known for integrity, professionalism, and their commitment to advancing BOMA and its members.
Property Manager of the Year
This award celebrates an outstanding Property Manager who exemplifies integrity, professionalism, and support of BOMA Raleigh-Durham.
Nominees should:
• Manage commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Raleigh-Durham market.
• Provide a high level of professionalism when dealing with BOMA Raleigh-Durham Allied members, clients, tenants and/or employees of the buildings managed.
• Actively participate in BOMA Raleigh Durham by attending luncheons, networking events, conferences, committee meetings and/or serve as a committee member, chair, or Board member.
• Actively seeks BOMA associate members for consideration on any contracts for the managed property.
This award honors the "best of the best" property manager whose expertise, reliability, and leadership elevate the performance of their property and the value of BOMA.
Assistant Property Manager of the Year
This award celebrates an outstanding Assistant Property Manager who exemplifies integrity, professionalism, and support of BOMA Raleigh-Durham.
Nominees should:
• Supports the property manager on commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Raleigh-Durham market.
• Provide a high level of professionalism when dealing with BOMA Raleigh-Durham Allied members, clients, tenants and/or employees of the buildings managed.
• Actively participate in BOMA Raleigh Durham by attending luncheons, networking events, conferences, committee meetings and/or serve as a committee member, chair, or Board member.
• Collaborates and assists the Manager as needed with BOMA Allied members that are being considered for or have contracts on managed assets.
This award honors the "best of the best" assistant property manager whose expertise, reliability, and leadership elevate the performance of their property and the value of BOMA.
BOMA RDU Member of the Year (Principal or Allied Member)
This award celebrates a professional who is recognized for their exemplary service to BOMA Raleigh-Durham in the areas of membership, government, programming, leadership, government affairs and/or special events.
Nominees should:
• Deliver the highest quality of service and uphold strong ethical standards in their industry.
• Actively participate in BOMA Raleigh Durham by attending luncheons, networking events, conferences, committee meetings and/or serve as a committee member chair or Board member.
• Recognized as a collaborator and fosters positive relationships with all members
This award honors the very best of the BOMA Raleigh-Durham membership.
