Pacesetter Winners will be announced at our upcoming 2023 TOBY/Holiday Banquet on December 5th!

General Rules:
 

  • Individuals submitting applications for consideration of any award must be a member of BOMA Raleigh-Durham or employed by a BOMA Member Company
  • All submissions are reviewed by an anonymous committee of BOMA members and are judged based on the criteria outlined for each award category.  An Anonymous committee is to be determined by the President and shall contain a minimum of five BOMA members.
  • Electronic submissions should include a narrative description outlining the worthiness of the candidate’s consideration (character count minimum of 550- max 1425).
  • The building, facility size, or class is not used as criteria for any award given.  Awards are given based on information provided and adherence to the guidelines specified for each category.

Property Manager of the Year
  • Manages commercial, retail, industrial, flex medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Raleigh-Durham market.
  • Active-Participant in BOMA Raleigh Durham, attending BOMA functions regularly.
  • Promotes BOMA Raleigh-Durham by supporting the association and by attending or sponsoring functions.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism when dealing with tenants and/or employees of the buildings managed.
  • Actively seeks BOMA associate members for consideration on any contracts for the managed property.
  • Is recognized by his/her peers for his/her integrity of business conduct.
 
Assistant Property Manager of the Year
  • Assist in the management of commercial, retail, industrial, flex, medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Raleigh-Durham market.
  • Active-Participant in BOMA Raleigh Durham, attending BOMA functions regularly.
  • Promotes BOMA Raleigh-Durham by supporting the association and by attending or sponsoring functions.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism when dealing with tenants and/or employees of the buildings managed.
  • Is recognized by his/her peers for his/her integrity of business conduct.

Building Engineer of the Year
  • Building engineer for commercial, retail, industrial, flex, medical, or any combination thereof, of space in the Raleigh-Durham market.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism when dealing with tenants and/or employees of the buildings managed.
  • Maintains the building to the highest level and in association with BOMA TOBY guidelines.
  • Actively seeks BOMA associate members for consideration on any contracts for the managed property.
  • Is recognized by his/her peers for his/her integrity of business conduct.
 
Associate Member (an individual)
  • Able to demonstrate the highest quality and integrity within their specific industry.
  • Promotes BOMA Raleigh-Durham by supporting the association by attending or sponsoring functions.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, other BOMA members, and the commercial real estate community.
 
Vendor Member (a company) of the Year
  • Able to demonstrate the highest quality and integrity within their specific industry.
  • Promotes BOMA Raleigh-Durham by supporting the association by attending or sponsoring functions.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, other BOMA members, and the commercial real estate community.
 
Young Professional of the Year
The award is presented to an individual in any category of BOMA membership who has been active in BOMA for four years or less and has demonstrated excellence in serving the commercial real estate industry in their area of expertise. The award is intended to recognize and encourage individuals who are still early in their careers. A letter of support from the nominee’s direct supervisor is required. Individuals may receive this award only once.
