TOBY Awards

The TOBY Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. During the competitions, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and "green" policies and procedures.

TOBY LEVELS OF COMPETITION
The competition consists of three levels. The competition begins at the BOMA local association level, winning entries advance from there to the regional level, and finally, regional winners advance to the international level. Pacesetter Awards- Nominations open October 1, 2026, and close October 31, 2026.

The Pacesetter Awards celebrate outstanding individuals and companies within the BOMA Raleigh-Durham community who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the commercial real estate industry. This annual event recognizes those making a significant impact, from property managers to young professionals, highlighting their contributions and inspiring excellence in the field. All Pacesetter Nominations will be evaluated by the Pacesetter Task Force, a diverse group of BOMA Members. This team includes a mix of industry professionals to ensure an unbiased and impartial assessment.

**Admission to this event is Free for Members. However, we have a limited capacity for this event, so please be thoughtful with your registration and make modifications to your registration if necessary. The website allows the ability to cancel/modify guests, etc. with your registration in your BOMA account. We understand things happen, and hope that this modification allowance helps us all make for a successful event!**

Banquet guest allowances are below. Guest fee is $75.00 pp.
Member - 1 guest 
TOBY Nominee - up to 5 guests per building, including BOMA Member.
Pacesetter Nominee - 1 guest (If the nominee is not a member, the Nominating Member will be able to register them in addition to their guest).

Tricky Tray Basket Drawing is a fun and engaging way to raise funds for a charitable cause while giving participants the chance to win exciting prizes. 

How Tricky Tray Drawings Work:
1. Ticket Donation Purchase: Attendees can buy Tricky Tray tickets, typically sold in rolls. This year, tickets are available at $20 for a roll of 26 tickets.
  
2. Prize Selection: A variety of baskets, each valued at $200 or more, are displayed throughout the venue. These baskets contain exciting items and experiences donated by generous BOMA members. Examples include: Spa day at Umstead and an Electric bike. Check out our Photo Gallery for more visuals!

3. Entering Drawings: Participants can enter their tickets into drawings for the specific prize baskets they wish to win. Each roll of tickets gives the participant multiple chances to take home a prize, making it an exhilarating experience, while giving back to an amazing cause!

4. Charity Focus: This year's chosen charity, which will be announced at the October 6th Luncheon, will benefit from the proceeds of the Tricky Tray donations.

Get Involved!
Donate a Basket: The Allied Committee is currently accepting donations for Tricky Tray baskets. If you'd like to contribute, please send your basket to Roberta Scoblick by November. Guidelines: Baskets must be valued at $200 or more and delivered by the deadline.
